These terms govern your use of Borrowhood, operated by Stackwell Digital, based in British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Who can use Borrowhood

You must be at least 13 years old to use Borrowhood. If you are using Borrowhood on behalf of a community, organization, or strata corporation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at info@borrowhood.ca.

You may not create accounts for the purpose of abusing the platform, circumventing a ban, or impersonating another person.

Communities

Borrowhood is an invite-only platform. Each community is private and managed by one or more admins. Admins are responsible for:

Borrowhood is not a party to any lending arrangement between members. All borrowing agreements are between the individuals involved.

Items and lending

Members list items at their own discretion. Borrowhood does not verify item condition, ownership, or value. You are responsible for the items you list and the condition in which you lend them.

Borrowers are expected to return items in the same condition they were received, within the agreed timeframe. Damage, loss, or disputes between members are the responsibility of the parties involved. Borrowhood does not mediate disputes or provide insurance.

Subscriptions and billing

Borrowhood offers a 15-day free trial on community creation. No credit card is required to start a trial. After the trial period, continued use requires an active subscription.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your plan. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel, your community will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.

On termination, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

Borrowhood is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any disputes between members, lost or damaged items, or losses arising from use of the platform.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stackwell Digital's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Borrowhood is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify community admins of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
