Last updated: June 5, 2026

Borrowhood ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Stackwell Digital, based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

What we collect

When you create an account or use Borrowhood, we collect:

How we use your information

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Who can see your data

Borrowhood is a private, invite-only platform. Your profile, items, and activity are only visible to members of your community. No public browsing, no stranger access.

Community admins can see member lists, item inventory, and borrow request history for their community.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the United States). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access data they are permitted to see. All traffic is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.

Third-party services

Cookies

We use a session token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data retention

We retain your account data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or your community's subscription ends, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, unless you request immediate deletion.

Your rights

If you are a resident of British Columbia or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email info@borrowhood.ca.

Children

Borrowhood is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify community admins of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
